Judith "Judy" Dee (Farran) Carter

Judith “Judy” Dee Carter, 81, of Piedmont, MO, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at her daughter’s residence in Wentzville, MO. She was born in St. Louis, MO, April 17, 1942, to parents Chester Dee and Gladys Elnora (Patterson) Farran.

Judy was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She married the love of her life, Richard Carter, on November 29, 1961, and they were blessed with two children. Judy worked in the personnel management department at the Army Records Center in St. Louis for many years. She and her husband were also the owners of the Bell House in Piedmont. Judy enjoyed serving on the board at the Shelter Workshop in Piedmont, for many years. She enjoyed the Red Hat ladies, sewing and she loved golf. She loved to travel, visit National parks, see new things, and do new things. Judy’s greatest legacy was her family, especially her grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of forty-five years; brothers-in-law: John Bonney and John Roberts.

Judy is survived by her children: Cindy Carter and husband Rob of Wentzville, Chuck Carter of St. Louis; grandchildren: Cameron Kosuta and partner Megan Jones, Angie Carter, Brittany Carter and partner Langston Miller, Camille Carter, Quinn Carter, Keaton Carter; great-grandchildren: Carter Miller, and Kota Carter; brother: Ronnie Farran and wife Jeanne; sisters: Peggy Bonney and partner Bill Halsey, Shirley Roberts, Kathy White and husband Bob. Judy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Masonic Cemetery, Piedmont. A celebration of life will follow from 4-8 pm at Piedmont Canyon Clubb, Piedmont. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
