Glenn Cook, 82 of Greenville, MO, formerly of Arnold, MO. passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 at his residence. He was born February 5, 1937 near Scopus, MO, to parents Lines and Beulah Grace (Statler) Cook. Glenn was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was raised in the Lutesville area before his family moved to St. Louis, MO where he finished school. He was introduced to Margie Rose through family. On June 15, 1963; Glenn and Margie were married and to this union, two children were born. Glenn proudly served his country in the United States Army between the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was devoted to his family and was a good provider. He worked at ABF Trucking Company for thirty years as a dockhand. Glenn was of the Baptist faith and a member of New Hope General Baptist Church in Silva, MO and a former member of Bethesda General Baptist Church in Imperial, MO. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass gospel music, hunting deer and turkey, gardening and simply piddling. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother: Paul Cook. Glenn is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years; children: Kurtis Glenn Cook of Malden, MO and Kelly Henry and husband Keith of Independence, MO; grandchildren: Kendra Collard nee Henry and husband Chad of Booneville, MO, Konnor Henry of Independence, MO, Kaden Cook of Malden, MO; and great-grandchild: Maevry Collard. Visitation was 4:00 pm, Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Greenville, MO. A second visitation was Sunday, June 2, 2019, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at New Hope General Baptist Church, Silva, MO. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm also at New Hope General Baptist Church. Bro. Dan Ross and Bro. Johnny Gipson ministered to the family. Kendra Collard gave a heartfelt eulogy. Mrs. Carol Davis provided the piano music. Kaden Cook, Chad Collard, Konnor Henry, Kevin Sigman, Rendell Wills and Mike Montgomery served as pallbearers. Burial was at New Liberty Cemetery, Piedmont, MO with full military honors provided by Missouri National Guard and Veterans Honor Guard of Poplar Bluff, MO. Online condolences can be made at
