Thelma Matilda Moore, 98, of Piedmont, Missouri passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at Clark's Mountain Nursing Center, Piedmont, MO. She was born October 7, 1920, in Kennett, Missouri to the late Melton U. and Laura J. (Price) Waltman. Thelma was first united in marriage to the late Malta Stepp and to this union there were two sons born; Kenneth R. Stepp and wife Heidi of Enterprise, Alabama and the late Ronald S. Stepp survived by his wife Ruth Ann, and one daughter Carol Sue Graddy of Shumway, Illinois. On May 28, 1938 Thelma married Wilson C. Moore and to this union three children were born; Robert M. Moore of Enterprise, Alabama, Terry M. Moore of Piedmont, Missouri, and one infant daughter Ginger Moore preceded her in death.
Thelma was raised in Kennett, Missouri. She worked as a cook and waitress in several restaurants and had lived in many different locations before settling in Des Arc, Missouri. She then retired in Piedmont, Missouri. Thelma loved to travel, she enjoyed her trips out west and made many trips on her own. She enjoyed music and loved to dance. Thelma was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her sons and daughters Thelma is survived by twenty grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren. In addition to her son and daughter she was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brothers: Henry “Ted” Waltman, George L. Waltman, John R. Waltman, Aaron P. Waltman, Harlan W. Waltman, sisters: Ella Rich, Norma Creasy, and Violet Shirley. Visitation was held at 9:00 am, Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont, Missouri and the funeral followed at 10:00 am also at the Piedmont Chapel. Pallbearers were Rusty Moore, Kevin Moore, Gary Moore, Jacob Moore, Mason Buchana and Ryan Gordon. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Interment was at Mt.
