Obituary

Ronald O. Lashley, 79 of Desloge, Missouri passed away Wednesday April 24, 2019 at Farmington, Missouri. He was born in Brunot, Missouri to parents Charles and Eunice (Sitzes) Lashley. Ronald was a devoted husband, good father, grandfather and an avid fan of his grandchildren’s ball games. He grew up in Brunot, attended Des Arc school and graduated high school there. He proudly served his country first in the Army and then in the National Guard. He worked at Brown Shoe Company in Piedmont before finding his career of twenty-six years as an insurance agent at Western Southern Insurance. Ronald was united in marriage to Carol Ann Keller in July of 1995 and they had many happy years together. Ronald was proud of his coon dogs and enjoyed hunting with them. He also loved gospel music; however, the Blackwood Brothers was one of his favorite groups. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters: Wilma Curtis and Janice Belmar; brother: Paul Lashley; son-in-law: Billy Spargo. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of twenty-four years, sons: Ronald Nay Lashley and wife Gloria of Vulcan, Missouri, Jason Lashley of Santa Fe, New Mexico; daughter: Rhonda Spargo of Fenton, Missouri; stepsons: Richard Turner and wife Nancy of Fowlerville, Michigan, Mitchel Turner of New China Township, Michigan; brothers: Glen Lashley and wife Kay of Columbia, Missouri, Doug Lashley and wife Marion of Arnold, Missouri; sister: Debbie Gray and husband James of Brunot, Missouri; grandchildren: Samantha Warren, Sabrina Lashley Nyssa Lashley, Alex Spargo, Stephen Spargo, Maquela Lashley, Janessa Lashley, Richard Turner, Michael Turner, Tiffany Turner, Sarah Bradford. Visitation was held Monday, April 29, 2019 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont, Missouri. Funeral service followed at 2:00 pm also at the Piedmont chapel. Chaplain Josh Burgard ministered to the family. Burial was at Beulah Cemetery, Brunot, Missouri. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
