Roy Dwight Bedwell

Roy Dwight Bedwell, 37, of Piedmont, MO, passed away, Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Piedmont, MO. He was born in Poplar Bluff, MO, January 29, 1987, to parents Roy Devern and Jerri Lynn (Rackley) Bedwell.

Dwight was a loving son, brother, nephew, and friend. He had worked for Spears Railroad for several years. He was currently working at Baker’s Products in Ellington, MO as a fabricator and welder. Dwight learned his welding from his dad. He attended Clearwater Schools and later received his GED. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, outdoors, and driving around in his truck listening to his radio. Dwight was family oriented and had a big heart, he always told people that he loved them.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Roy S. Bedwell and Melba June Stewart, and Jr. Rackley; great-grandmother: Mary Rackley; uncle: Ray Bedwell; and aunt: Sharon Lundy.

In addition to both his parents, Dwight is survived by his sister: Stephanie Johnston and husband Thomas of Piedmont; grandmother: Lynn Spuhler of St. Louis; uncle: Scott Bedwell and wife Ginnie Lou of Salem; aunts: Joyce Lundy of Salem, Theresa Bedwell of Springfield, Terri McClure of House Springs; special aunts: Marsha Morris II and husband Mike of Patterson, Tammy Maness, and uncle: Tom Parsons both of St. Louis; great uncle: Doug Rackley of Gerald; special great aunt: Pat Parsons of Doniphan.

Visitation was held at 5:00 pm, Friday, April 19, 2024, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont Chapel. Memorial service followed at 7:00 pm, also in the Piedmont Chapel. Bro. Denny Hovis ministered to the family. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
