Freida Clements Obituary

Freida Adell (Fisher) Clements, 81, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Detroit, MI, March 5, 1943, to parents William Dewitt (Dee) and Helen Lorene (Firebaugh) Fisher. The family moved near their family to Beulah, MO, when Adell was about the age of three.

Adell was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and loving grandmother and friend. She was united in marriage on December 13, 1958, to Donald Ray Clements Sr. They spent sixty-five years setting the perfect example of love to all who knew them. To this union, they were blessed with two children, a son: Donald Ray “Sonny” Clements Jr., the self-proclaimed favorite; and the more humble daughter: Dianna Michelle (Clements) Manetz.

Adell attended Beulah Elementary School and Des Arc High School. She first worked as a waitress then worked many years at Brown Shoe Company until it closed, followed by working at the frozen food factory and finally as a cook for Clearwater School before retiring. She was of the Baptist faith.

Adell and Don spent most of their time outdoors near the water. Whether it was evenings at Clearwater Lake water skiing, swimming, or fishing, or at the river on the weekends in a canoe. They enjoyed camping and eventually owned a ‘camping’ home in the Bluff View area. She was happiest with a fishing pole in her hands.

Adell also had a green thumb, always having a garden, sharing tomatoes and cucumbers. Those hands were also very crafty with crochet, embroidery, or quilting. She was an avid reader and an amazing cook.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers: Elmer “Skip” and JayDee Fisher; granddaughter: Jackie Lynn Muse.

Adell is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years; children: Sonny Clements and wife Kim of Willow Springs, Dianna Manetz and husband Paul of Piedmont; grandchildren: Travis Muse and wife Pam of Holts Summit, JohnPaul Manetz and wife Tricia of Piedmont, Dustin Clements of Jefferson City, Melissa Foster and husband Mark of Puxico, Kelly Goins and husband John of West Plains; great-grandchildren: Bailey Kirkwood, Meyer Foster, Madalyn Foster, Wrenley Mantez; great-great-granddaughter: Elliana Siedsma; God-family: Kloe, Jeremiah, and Beth L’Heureux; brother and sister-in-law: Gary and Sue Shearrer of Patterson; several nieces, nephews, and friends.

As her nine-year-old great-grandson prayed that maw-maw is with Jesus now and prayed for all his family, he also told his dad, he knew its part of life but it’s not fair.

Adell will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
