Obituary for Linda Ragan

Carolinda “Linda” Ragan, 95, of Williamsville, MO, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at her residence. She was born August 21, 1923 in Greer, South Carolina to parents Claude and Orrie Cooper.
Linda married Lacy Ragan, November 2, 1944 and they were blessed with one child. She was a loving wife and mother. She started playing the piano at age five and was an accomplished piano player. She played for many large and small church functions and many funerals. She attended Lymestone Gafney College in South Carolina. Linda and her family moved to St. Louis, MO until 1948 when they moved and settled in Greenville, MO. There they owned the Lux Theater in Greenville and the Melinda Theater along with Pine Hill Drive Inn, Piedmont, MO. They also owned and operated the busses for the Greenville School District. Finally settling in the Chaonia Landing area for the last forty or more years. Linda has touched many lives throughout her life time. She will be greatly missed.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Melanie Hughey and husband Troy of Williamsville, MO.
In addition to her parents and husband of fifty-six years, she is preceded in death by her sisters; Pansy and Sarah Gish.
A private graveside service was held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Greenville City Cemetery. Pastor Mary McCord ministered to the family. Alex Ruegg, Lori Rhoden, Ronnie Henson, and Sarah Schrader served as pallbearers. Online condolences can be made at www.rueggfuneralhomes.com
