Obituary for Leo Jennewein

Leo Andrew Jennewein, 82, of Silva, MO, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born December 12, 1935 in St. Louis County to parents Andrew and Dora (John) Jennewein. On June 18, 1960, Leo married Virgie Sue Farmer and they were blessed with five children. Leo enjoyed family get togethers and spending time with his family was a great joy. He was very proud of his grandchildren. He liked to fish and watch his favorite television show, Blue Bloods. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Leo is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of thirty-five years; sisters: Dolly Anthony, Rosemary Jennewein, Frances Jennewein; grandson: Riley Jennewein. He is survived by his children: Dan Jennewein and wife Paula of Silva, MO, David Jennewein and wife Tammy of Patterson, MO, Dennis Jennewein of Grassy, MO, Karen Jennewein and companion Ray Sashankar of Cut and Shoot, TX, Carol Angel of Grassy, MO; grandchildren: Dana Yount, Dona Payne and husband Cory, Steven Jennewein, Bradley Lutes, Hannah Jennewein: great-grandchildren: Andrew Yount, Bryna Payne, Kaytlin Payne, Ryan Payne, Nevets Lee Jennewein, Emma Lutes, Brody Lord, Benjamin Lord and many nieces and nephews. . A memorial visitation was held from 12:00 to 2:00 Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Ruegg Funeral Home in Greenville, MO. A memorial service followed at 2:00 pm also at the Greenville chapel. Bro. Mike Green ministered to the family. Burial was at Mt. Pisgah cemetery in Silva, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Online condolences can be made at
