Leon Allen Carter, 46, of Patterson, MO, passed away Friday, May 18, 2018 at his residence. He was born November 13, 1971, at Lake View, MI, to parents Don and Lorraine (Sanders) Carter.
On November 16, 2013, he married Ginger Carter who he called his G-babi. Leon was an excellent and loving husband and made it known how much he truly loved his wife, Ginger. The two enjoyed spending time with their families and just being together hunting, fishing, being around the water, dancing, driving fast, back road cruisin’ or just holding each other watching their favorite T.V. shows. He was an awesome father, pop-pop, brother, and uncle. Leon was a master mechanic and loved to work on cars. He was a hard worker, jokester and cut-up, an awesome cook and loved chocolate. Leon loved his mom very much and always said he was a momma’s boy. When he loved, he loved with all his heart and he loved his children and adored grandchildren very much. Leon has a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by both his parents.
He is survived by Momma Barb Kamer and husband Robert of Patterson, MO; his wife of four years; children: Derek (Tracey) Carter of Patterson, MO, Devin Carter of Mill Spring, MO, Stephen Carter of Park Hills, MO, Gerald Harrison III, Billy “BJ” Carter, Deseray (Isaiah) Mancell, Whittney (Isaiah) Burch, and Savannahanne Carter all of Patterson, MO; brothers: Donell Carter of Park Hills, MO, Billy Carter of TN; sister: Trina (Calvin) Morris of Poplar Bluff, MO; grandchildren: Hunter Carter, Gerald “Monkey” Harrison IV, Kaleb Burch, Xander Burch, Zeek Mancell, Harley Carter, Cassidy Carter, and two on the way. He had a close and special bond with nieces: Samantha (Trenton) Kamer, Tasha Carter, Amber Morris and nephew: Jared Morris.
Visitation was held from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Ruegg Funeral Home in Piedmont, MO. Funeral followed at 2:00 pm also in the chapel. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Donell Carter, Gerald Harrison IV, Jared Morris, Derick Carter, Stephen Carter, Devin Carter, Trenton Kamer and Gerald Allen served as pallbearers.
