Obituary for Richard Green

Richard Green
Bro. Richard Green, 89 of Silva, MO, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born April 19, 1929 to Ray and Pauline (Williams) Green.
Bro. Richard was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Proudly serving our country from 1950 to 1953 in the United States Marine Corps, earning a Good Conduct and National Defense Service Medal and was proud to be a Marine. On August 3, 1957, he married Verna White and this union was blessed with sixty wonderful and happy years. Loving to work with and lay brick, he chose the profession as a brick mason. Around the age forty he accepted the calling to preach the Word of God, which he took very seriously. He was humbled and honored to witness many lives change through his service to the Lord. He loved to play golf, loved his church, and enjoyed family times together including his church family, but as much as he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren, he loved the Lord even more.
Bro. Richard is preceded in death by both his parents; great-grandchild: Jordan Green; and one sister: Marian Kenski.
He is survived by his loving wife; sons: Tim Green of Fredericktown, MO, Michael Green and wife Pam of Piedmont, MO; daughter: Debra Green of Silva, MO; brother: Charles Green of Mesa, AZ; sister: Doris Tipton of Deerfield, Il; five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Bro. Richard touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who knew him
