Chester W. Crockett, 70 of Piedmont, MO, passed away, Thursday, March 8, 2018, at his residence. He was born January 23, 1948, to Everett W. and Virginia A. (Van Sickles) Crockett.
Chester was a faithful member of Harvest Baptist Church and loved to sing in the choir. He loved to eat and enjoyed watching cardinal baseball games. Chester worked at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis for several years and also S.E.E. in Piedmont, MO. He loved to help and be around people in the community and loved animals and enjoyed raising them.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister: Susan Crockett.
He is survived by one brother: Cecil Crockett and wife Sue of Augusta, ME; one sister: Carrol Lewis and husband Dave of St. Louis, MO; best friends Debbie Ruble and Lynn Charlton; best friend and caretaker: Lisa Brewington; very best friend and favorite companion: his dog Barney. Chester will be greatly missed by his family and friends and all who knew him.
Visitation was held Monday, March 12, 2018, from 11:00-2:00 pm, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Funeral services followed at 2:00 pm also at the chapel. Pastor Pete Ruble ministered to the family. Richard Brewington, Jim Seal, John Duncan, John Hills, Adam Rayfield and Gordon Sanders served as pallbearers. Interment was at Ruble Cemetery.
