Edward “Ed” Lee Hodge, 64, of Greenville formerly of Piedmont, MO, passed away December 13, 2017, at his residence. He was born October 12, 1953, to the late Ray and Loraine (Hodge) Chronister in St. Louis, MO.
Ed is survived by two sons, Anthony Adam Hodge and Norman Lee Hodge of Desoto, MO; one daughter, Elizabeth Adele Hodge of Farmington, MO; and two grandchildren, Lillianna and Elliott Wilson. Other survivors include three brothers, Jim Chronister and his wife Lois of Hillsboro, MO, Donald Chronister and his wife Donna of Desoto, MO, and Tom Chronister and his wife Karrie of Desoto, MO; two sisters, Lauvena Fortner and her husband Jim of Cedar Hill, MO, and Betty Jean and her husband Randy of Hillsboro, MO; and Dale Wilson of Wingo, KY, whom Ed thought of as a son.
Ed faithfully served his country in the US Army in the Vietnam War.
Ed was a maintenance mechanic and a night electrician for many years. He loved working on his home and tinkering with cars.
Visitation was Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 5:00-8:00 pm, at Ruegg Funeral Home, Piedmont, MO. Services were held Sunday, December 17, 2017, at 2:00 pm, also at the chapel. Pastor Richard Sanders ministered to the family. Larry Alvey, Don Chronister, Tom Chronister, Marty McDowell, Jim Chronister, Chuck Kimes and Ron London served as pallbearers. Burial was at Masonic Cemetery at Piedmont, MO, with full Military honors provided by the Missouri Army National Guard and Arnold Hodge Post #281, Piedmont, MO.
